How does the development process start?

With a 30-minute call to understand your operation and what is holding you back. Then we send you a proposal with a staged scope, timeline and budget. If it makes sense to you, we start with design and the first stage; you review progress every two weeks.

How long does development take?

It depends on the scope: a useful first stage is usually live in 4 to 6 weeks; full platforms take several months, in stages. Hokkaido covers from day one what every system needs (sign-in, permissions, notifications, activity log), so the time goes into what is unique to your business.

What does it cost?

We quote by stage, with a fixed scope and a fixed price for each one, so you know what you get and what it costs before we start. The price depends on the number of modules, integrations and approval flows, not on hours. Maintenance and support are quoted separately, as a monthly plan.

Can you integrate my current systems?

Yes. We integrate with ERPs, invoicing, banks, WhatsApp, spreadsheets and any system with an API or an export. Before proposing anything, we review your current infrastructure so the integration does not interrupt your operation.

What happens to my data if you use AI?

Your data stays yours. The models (Claude, OpenAI) are used under business agreements: they do not train on your information and only receive what each task needs. You decide which processes use AI, and everything is logged in your platform.

Do you hand over the source code?

Yes. At the close of each stage you receive the source code and the documentation. The platform is yours: you can maintain it with us, with your own team or with whoever you choose.

What is the Hokkaido platform?

It is the foundation we build every new platform on: sign-in with passkeys, two-factor authentication and idle lock, role-based permissions, real-time notifications, search, an activity log, file storage and backups, plus ready-to-use AI building blocks: an assistant over your data and document extraction. Do I have to use Hokkaido?

No. Hokkaido is an option to start faster and for less. If your project calls for building from scratch, to your specification and business rules, we do that too. Either way you work with the same team, with a fixed price per stage, a client portal and a service plan.

Do you offer a support and maintenance plan?

Yes. Every delivery includes a 3 to 6 month warranty on defects, depending on the stage, at no cost. After that, your platform is covered by a monthly service plan: first response in under 4 business hours, 99.5% uptime, continuous monitoring, security updates, backups and a monthly pack of hours for improvements.
